第四十一、三藏二藏。問：經說三藏復說二藏，此經為屬何藏所收？答：三藏之中正唯修多羅藏，兼詮餘二。言三藏者：一修多羅，此云契經；二毘奈耶，此云調伏；三阿毘達磨，此云對法，即經律論三名為三藏也。言二藏者：一聲聞藏、二菩薩藏，即上三藏隨大小乘開合不同。此經即大乘菩薩藏攝也。謹對。

Forty-first: The three piṭakas and two piṭakas. Question: The sūtras speak of three piṭakas and also of two piṭakas; under which piṭaka is this sūtra subsumed? Answer: Among the three piṭakas, it is properly subsumed only under the sūtrapiṭaka, while concurrently explaining the other two. As for the three piṭakas: First, sūtra, translated here as 'tallying scripture'; second, vinaya, translated here as 'taming and subduing'; third, abhidharma, translated here as 'facing the Dharma'—these three: sūtra, vinaya, and treatise, are named the three piṭakas. As for the two piṭakas: First, the śrāvakapiṭaka; second, the bodhisattvapiṭaka; these are the above three piṭakas divided or combined according to the Mahāyāna and Hīnayāna. This sūtra is subsumed under the Mahāyāna bodhisattvapiṭaka. Respectfully answered.
