第二大眾請法分者，「時諸菩薩作是思」惟已下十四行半經，於中有三十二問，義分為二：一初有四問，問四種佛剎。二「成就大菩提心引十方諸佛勸說」已下有二十八，問菩薩住地佛眼耳等。如是三十二問，直至〈如來出現品〉是答。如經具。

Second, the section of the great assembly requesting the Dharma: from "At that time, the bodhisattvas had this thought" onward, there are fourteen and a half lines of sūtra text, containing thirty-two questions, which are divided into two parts in meaning: 1. The first four questions ask about four kinds of Buddha-lands; 2. From "accomplishing the great bodhicitta, drawing upon the Buddhas of the ten directions to encourage preaching" onward, there are twenty-eight questions asking about the bodhisattvas' abodes, grounds, Buddha-eyes, Buddha-ears, and so forth. These thirty-two questions are answered straight through to the "Chapter on the Manifestation of the Tathāgata," as fully detailed in the sūtra.
