二釋品來意者，為明前〈問明品〉是成其十信中解故。此品成其十信之行故，此品須來。乃至果行圓滿已來，不離此大願故。

Second, in explaining the reason for the chapter's occurrence: it is to explain that the preceding 'Chapter on the Inquiries for Clarification' accomplished understanding within the ten faiths. Because this chapter accomplishes the practice of the ten faiths, this chapter must follow. This is because, even up to the fulfillment of the fruitional practices, one never departs from these great vows.
