In the second section, "Praising virtue and advancing," from "Just as all bodhisattvas..." down to "bid farewell and departed," there are nine and a half lines of the sūtra, divided summarily into four headings: 1. Praising virtue and advancing; 2. Indicating the location where the kalyāṇamitra dwells and the city where he resides, named Tāradhvaja; 3. Giving the name of its king, Anala (Inappeasable); 4. Respectfully bidding farewell and departing. The city being named Tāradhvaja: here translated as "luminous and pure," the name is established based on the teaching master. This is because in the seventh practice, non-attachment, with supramundane pure wisdom one skillfully enters the world to act as a master of compassion, skillfully knowing all faculties, and with transformation bodies practicing identical actions without forgetting to receive and guide living beings. The king being named Anala (Inappeasable): because he benefits sentient beings insatiably, his name is formed from his causal practice. The rest is self-contained as in the text.
