名為十處十會。普光明殿中會，此經中五位六位法門、十定妙理、普賢萬行始終體用，十處十會總在普光明殿，一真法界因圓果滿報居之宅之所含容。十方世界都為一法一處一時一體用際攝末歸本，不可別分作前後往來三會之說，不可以己情塵翳障真教。又此經中諸法皆以十為圓數，不可但言七處九會之說。

These are called the ten locations and ten assemblies. As for the assembly in the Universal Light Hall, the Dharma-gates of the five stages and six stages in this sūtra, the wondrous principle of the ten samādhis, and the essence and function of Samantabhadra's myriad practices from beginning to end—the ten locations and ten assemblies are entirely contained within the Universal Light Hall, the mansion where the reward-body abides, with the causes perfected and the fruits fulfilled in the one true dharmadhātu. The worlds of the ten directions are all gathered from the branches back to the root within one dharma, one location, one time, and one juncture of essence and function; one must not divide them separately into an account of three assemblies coming and going before and after, nor obscure the true teaching with the dust and clouds of one's own sentiments. Furthermore, all dharmas in this sūtra take ten as the number of perfection; one must not merely speak of seven locations and eight assemblies or nine assemblies.
