9.54

第四從「有十佛世界微塵數菩薩」以下至「無量功德」，於中有三十行經，明菩薩大眾圍遶分。於此分中，都顯初會總有四十七眾，皆是圍遶，皆有其意。於此四十七眾之內，從初菩提樹內流光眾已下，至普賢等十箇上名悉同名之為普。眾且分為三。

Fourth, from "There were bodhisattvas as numerous as the dust motes of ten Buddha worlds" down to "immeasurable merits," there are thirty lines of sūtra text, explaining the section on the great assembly of bodhisattvas surrounding him. In this section, it is shown that in the initial assembly there are forty-seven assemblies in all, all surrounding him, each having its purpose. Among these forty-seven assemblies, from the assembly radiating light within the bodhi tree at the beginning down to the ten bodhisattva assemblies whose primary names all share the word "Samanta-" (Universal), such as Samantabhadra, the assemblies are provisionally divided into three.
