First, if it is the main teaching according to stage, the ten faiths, ten abodes, ten practices, ten dedications of merit, ten grounds, and eleventh ground each have their main teaching. The ten faiths take the Buddha's fundamental immovable wisdom as their main teaching. The ten abodes take the wondrous wisdom of the principle-essence of the Tathāgata's fruitional virtues, which is the wisdom of realizing and entering the dharmadhātu, as their main teaching. The ten practices take the cultivation of giving rise to Samantabhadra's practices based on the Buddha's fundamental wisdom as their main teaching. The ten dedications take the harmonious merging of principle and wisdom, ultimate and conventional, giving rise to great vows to accomplish compassion and wisdom, and causing principle and wisdom, great compassion, to be balanced and even, leaning neither to quietude nor disturbance, as their main teaching. The ten grounds take the accumulated cultivation of compassion and wisdom, making them habitual so that their efficacy delivers [beings], as their main teaching. The eleventh ground takes Samantabhadra's practices being equal to the stream of sentient beings' feelings, permeating the ocean of the dharmadhātu, and spontaneous function to benefit living beings, as its main teaching. This is the main teaching according to stage.
