普賢菩薩告大眾言：「乃往古世過世界微塵劫，復倍是數，有世界海名普門光明。此世界海中有世界名勝音，依摩尼華海住，須彌山微塵數世界而為眷屬。其形正圓，其地無量莊嚴，三百重寶圍繞，寶雲覆上如須彌山，衣服飲食隨念而至。彼勝音世界中有香水海名清淨光明，中有大蓮華須彌山出現名華焰普莊嚴幢山，上有林名摩尼華，眾寶莊嚴。百萬億那由他城周匝圍繞，種種眾生於中止住。林東有城名焰光明，人王所都，百萬億那由他城周匝圍繞。彼勝音世界最初劫中有十須彌山，微塵數如來出興，第一佛名一切功德山須彌勝雲，王名喜見善慧，統領百萬億那由他城，夫人婇女三萬七千，王子五百，大威光為首，有十千夫人。太子見光，以昔所修善根力故，證十種法門已說偈，以佛神力其聲遍滿勝音世界。其王聞已，與夫人俱來至佛所，八部眷屬皆悉來集，聞法獲益，大威光得無量智光明。佛滅後有波羅蜜善根莊嚴佛出世，爾時大威光童子見佛，即得念佛三昧名無邊海藏門等十千法門。值第三第四佛，獲益已還歸本處（已上從普賢三昧來皆普賢菩薩說）。」

Samantabhadra Bodhisattva addressed the great assembly, saying: "In ancient times, passing kalpas as numerous as the dust motes of a world, and doubling this number again, there was an ocean of worlds named Radiance of the Universal Gate. In this ocean of worlds there was a world named Wondrous Sound, dwelling supported by an ocean of maṇi flowers, with worlds as numerous as the dust motes of Mount Sumeru as its retinue. Its shape was perfectly round, its ground immeasurably adorned, surrounded by three hundred tiers of jewels, with jewel clouds covering it above like Mount Sumeru; clothing, food, and drink arrived in accordance with one's thoughts. In that Wondrous Sound world there was a fragrant water ocean named Pure Radiance, within which appeared a Great Lotus Sumeru Mountain named the Mountain of the Banner of Universal Adornments of Flower Flames, atop which was a grove named Maṇi Flower, adorned with numerous jewels. A million billion nayutas of cities surrounded it, and various sentient beings dwelt therein. East of the grove was a city named Blazing Radiance, the capital of a human king, surrounded by a million billion nayutas of cities. In the first kalpa of that Wondrous Sound world, Tathāgatas as numerous as the dust motes of ten Mount Sumerus appeared; the first Buddha was named Sumeru Wondrous Cloud of All Merits Mountain. The king was named Pleasant Sight Good Wisdom, who governed a million billion nayutas of cities, with thirty-seven thousand wives and court ladies, and five hundred sons, with Great Mighty Radiance as the eldest, who had ten thousand wives. Seeing the light, the crown prince, by the power of roots of goodness cultivated in the past, attested to ten dharma-gates and then spoke verses; by the Buddha's supernatural power, his voice filled the Wondrous Sound world. Hearing it, the king and his consort came to the Buddha's abode, and their retinue of eight classes of beings all assembled. Hearing the Dharma, they gained benefit, and Great Mighty Radiance attained the immeasurable light of wisdom. After that Buddha's parinirvāṇa, the Buddha Adorned with Roots of Goodness of the Pāramitās appeared in the world. At that time the young prince Great Mighty Radiance saw the Buddha and immediately attained the Buddha-mindfulness samādhi named the Gate of the Boundless Ocean Matrix and other gates, ten thousand dharma-gates in all. Encountering the third and fourth Buddhas, having attained benefit, he returned to his original abode (all of the above, from the Samādhi of Samantabhadra onward, was spoken by Samantabhadra Bodhisattva)."
