賢首品十二（卷同。盡十五賢位之初，故云賢首，即是初住近方便也。聖中之賢故名為賢，賢家之首故名賢首）

Chapter 11, "Pure Conduct" (Fascicle 14. Although the destinies [in the previous chapter] are good, without practice one cannot advance. Leaving the mundane and advancing along the Way is therefore named "pure," because it purifies those practices. Practice relies on this purity, so both subject and practice receive the designation of "pure conduct"). / Chapter 12, "Chief of the Virtuous" (Same fascicle. Exposing the beginning of the fifteen virtuous stages, it is thus called "Chief of the Virtuous" [Bhadraśrī], which is the proximate skillful means of the first abode. Being the virtuous among sages, they are named "virtuous"; being the chief of the family of the virtuous, they are named "Chief of the Virtuous").
