此經言約義富、事遠理深，豈止勝鬘之一經，乃總方等之宗要。余翫味既重、鐩鑽累年，捃拾古今、搜撿經論，撰其文玄，勒成三軸。若少參聖旨，則福施群生；如其有差，請冥加授。

The words of this sūtra are concise and its meaning rich; its events are far-reaching and its principles profound. Far from being merely the single sūtra of Śrīmālā, it summarizes the essential doctrine of the vaipulya. Having savored it deeply and drilled for fire over many years, gathering from ancient and modern times and searching through sūtras and treatises, I have compiled its profound text into three scrolls. If it accords slightly with the sage's intent, may its merit be bestowed on living beings; if there be errors, I pray for secret guidance.
