From "Then Queen Śrīmālā" down is the second section. First, it identifies and lists the people who pay homage. From "joined her palms" down, it explains their reverent devotion of the three karmas. First, it explains the physical karma. "Joining her palms" is respect. "Gazing without satiety" is love. As the secular saying goes: to the lord one shows respect, to the mother love, and the one who combines both is the father. Here the Buddha is the compassionate father, and thus both are present. "After [the Buddha] passed beyond her field of vision, rejoicing, they each praised the Tathāgata's merit" is the verbal karma. Joy comes from celebrating the transgression having been eliminated; hence it says "rejoicing." Next, chanting the magnificent virtues with their mouths is termed "praising." "Mindfully recollecting the Buddha with completeness" is the mental karma. Because both the Buddha's physical form and his various merits were recollected in their minds, it says "with completeness."
