經曰「萬二千人俱」者，述云：此第二、唱數也。彼論亦云「數成就者，謂大眾無數故，總別雖異其義一焉。」而帛延唱千二百五十人者，略舉常眾不盡之言，故亦不違。

Regarding the sūtra text: "twelve thousand in all": The commentary states: This is second, declaring the number. That treatise also says: "Perfection of number means that the great assembly is countless; though general and specific differ, their meaning is one." And as for Bai Yan declaring one thousand two hundred and fifty people, it briefly mentions the regular assembly without exhausting the full count, so it also does not contradict.
