經曰「佛語阿難」至「以散其上」者，述云：第五、遂請現瑞。有二：此初、應誓現瑞也。

The sūtra says: "The Buddha told Ānanda..." up to "to scatter upon him." The commentary states: Fifth, the portents appear as requested. There are two parts: this first is the appearance of portents in response to the vow.
