經曰「阿難又問」至「凡歷十劫」者，述云：此第三、成佛久近也。支謙經云「作佛以來凡十小劫」，意同此也。而帛延云「作佛以來凡十八劫」者，蓋其「小」字闕其中點矣。

Regarding the passage from "Ānanda further asked" to "a total of ten kalpas have passed": The commentary states: This third part is the duration since he attained Buddhahood. Zhi Qian's sūtra says, "Since he became a Buddha, a total of ten minor kalpas have passed," the meaning being the same as this. As for Bai Yan saying, "Since he became a Buddha, a total of eighteen kalpas have passed," the character "minor" (xiao) probably lacked its middle dot.
