2.81

經曰「佛告阿難」至「廣宣經法」者，述云：第二、廣說勝行。有二：初、正辨修行；後、乘顯所修。初又有五：一、法藏請說；二、如來抑止；三、法藏重請；四、如來許說；五、辨修勝行。初又有二：此初、乘前正請也。發無上覺心者，即前願佛法身淨土之心也。

On the passage where the sūtra states, "The Buddha told Ānanda..." up to "widely proclaimed the sūtras and teachings": The commentary states: The second part is explaining the superior practice at length. There are two parts: first, directly discerning the cultivation of practice; second, taking the occasion to reveal what was cultivated. The first also has five parts: 1. Dharmākara requests the teaching; 2. the Tathāgata discourages him; 3. Dharmākara repeats his request; 4. the Tathāgata grants the teaching; 5. discerning the cultivation of superior practice. The first also has two parts: this is the first, taking occasion from the preceding to make the formal request. "Generating the mind of unsurpassable awakening" refers to the aforementioned mind that vows for the Buddha's dharmakāya and pure land.
