經曰「爾時慈氏」至「胎生化生」者，述云：此第二、對因顯果。有二：此初、問。即正問胎生之因兼其化生也。

On the passage from the sūtra beginning "At that time Maitreya" to "womb-birth and apparitional birth": the commentary states: This is the second part, revealing the fruit in contrast to the cause. There are two parts: this first is the question, directly asking about the causes of womb-birth along with apparitional birth.
