經曰「東方恒沙」至「亦復如是」者，述云：此後、勝聖共生也。總而言之，欲令凡小增欲生之意，故須顯彼國土之勝。

On the sūtra passage from 'The sands of the Ganges in the eastern direction' to 'are also like this': The Commentary states: This latter [part] concerns the shared rebirth of superior noble ones. In general, to cause ordinary and lesser beings to increase their aspiration for rebirth, it is necessary to show the excellence of that land.
