經曰「其上輩者」至「願生彼國」者，述云：此後、別釋。有三：此初、釋上輩。有二：此初、正釋。有四：此初、本有修因也。

On the sūtra passage from 'Those of the upper tier' to 'aspire to be born in that land': The Commentary states: This latter [part] provides individual explanations. There are three [parts]: this is the first, explaining the upper tier. There are two [parts]: this is the first, the correct explanation. There are four [points]: this is the first, the cause cultivated during fundamental existence.
