3.56

經曰「無有厭怠」至「勝心深心」者，述云：此第四、修勤行也。求善不息，故無懈怠心。無行不修，故云等心。無下足，故云勝心。無退屈，故云深心。

The sūtra says: "Without weariness or indolence... an exalted mind and a profound mind." The commentary states: This is the fourth [part], practicing the conduct of vigor. Because their seeking of goodness is unceasing, they are without a negligent mind. Because there is no practice they do not cultivate, it says "an equal mind." Because they do not settle for what is low, it says "an exalted mind." Because they do not retreat or falter, it says "a profound mind."
