2.71

Answer: The consort was the noblest of the noble, the most exalted of the exalted; in her four bodily postures, many people served her, and the clothes she wore were all put on by attendants. Now having seen the Buddha, she felt deep shame and remorse; rather than untying the clasps and ribbons, she suddenly wrenched them off herself. Hence it is said that she "tore them off herself."
