Sixth, from “Amitābha” down to “sixteen feet or eight feet,” it directly explains that although the Buddha images of the contemplator and the contemplated differ in bodily size, it is clear that all are the true [Buddha]. Herein there are three [points]: first, explaining that Amitābha’s body is unimpeded in spiritual penetration, pervading everywhere as he wishes. Saying “as he wishes” has two kinds: first, according to the wishes of sentient beings, responding to and saving them in accordance with their mental thoughts; second, according to Amitābha’s wish, his five eyes illuminating perfectly and his six abhijñās being sovereign. Observing faculties that can be saved, in a single thought-moment without prior or posterior, body and mind equally respond, opening enlightenment through the three wheels, each benefit being different. Second, explaining that he manifests either a large body or a small body. Third, explaining that although the bodily measure may be large or small, all are the color of true gold; this determines the correct from the incorrect.
