Fourth, from "within each jewel are five hundred colors of light" down to "musical instruments serve as its adornment," it directly explains the adornments in the air. Here there are six points: first, it explains that the jewels emit many lights; second, it explains their aspects through similes; third, it explains that the lights transform into terraces; fourth, it explains that the lights transform into towers and pavilions; fifth, it explains that the lights transform into flower banners; sixth, it explains that the lights transform into the sounds of jeweled music. Furthermore, it explains that the various jewels on the ground each emit five hundred colors of light; each colored light surges upward into the sky to form a terrace of light; in each terrace are thousands of myriad jeweled towers, each adorned and composed of one, two, three, four, or up to inexpressible numbers of jewels. Regarding the words "like flowers, and also like stars and the moon," the Buddha, out of great compassion fearing people would not comprehend, borrowed similes to reveal them. Regarding the words "on both sides of the terrace are each one hundred billion flower banners," the lights of the jeweled ground are many and immeasurable; each light transforms into a terrace of light, completely filling the sky. Practitioners should constantly maintain this visualization while walking, standing, sitting, or lying down.
