前明十三觀以為定善，即是韋提致請、如來已答。後明三福九品名為散善，是佛自說。雖有定散兩門有異，總解正宗分竟。

Earlier, the thirteen contemplations were clarified as meditative good, which was Vaidehī's request and the Tathāgata's response. Later, the three merits and nine ranks were clarified as non-meditative good, spoken spontaneously by the Buddha. Although the two gates of meditative and non-meditative differ, the overall explanation of the Main Body is completed.
