Fourth, from "with a great assembly of monks" down to "...as their leaders", this clarifies the Buddha's disciples. Within this assembly, it is divided into two: first, the śrāvaka assembly; second, the bodhisattva assembly. Within the śrāvaka assembly, there are nine points: First, saying "with" means the Buddha's person encompasses the assembly, hence it is called "with". Second, general greatness. Third, greatness in appearance. Fourth, greatness in assembly. Fifth, greatness in senior age. Sixth, greatness in number. Seventh, greatness as venerable elders. Eighth, greatness in inner true virtue. Ninth, greatness in fruit and realization.
