2.26

「時阿闍世聞此語已，怒其母曰：『我母是賊，與賊為伴。沙門惡人，幻惑呪術，令此惡王多日不死。』」名父為賊，母即賊伴。沙門幻術，明非賢哲。四、執釰欲害。

"At that time Ajātaśatru, having heard these words, was enraged with his mother, saying: 'My mother is a thief, a companion to a thief! The śramaṇas are wicked men; with illusory spells they have caused this evil king not to die for many days.'" Calling his father a thief, the mother is then a companion to a thief. Attributing magical arts to the śramaṇas makes clear they are not virtuous sages. Fourth, he draws a sword intending to harm her.
