「『如此罪人，以惡業故，應墮地獄。』」應墮獄者，應猶合也。二、遇知識，三：初、業相現前；二、知識開導；三、聞法滅罪。初、業相現前。

"‘Such sinful persons, because of their evil karmas, should fall into hell.’" "Should fall into hell": "should" means it is proper and fitting [that they do so]. Second, encountering a spiritual friend, which has three parts: first, the karmic signs appearing; second, the spiritual friend instructing and guiding; third, hearing the Dharma and eradicating sin.
