「『汝當受持，無令忘失。』」《智論》云「信力故受，念力故持。」既受且持，則無忘失。二、勸修獲益，五：初、見境勝；二、滅罪勝；三、自身勝；四、伴侶勝；五、果報勝。初、見境勝。

"‘You should accept and uphold it, and not let it be forgotten or lost.’" The Dazhidu lun says: "Through the power of faith one accepts it; through the power of mindfulness one upholds it." Since one both accepts and upholds it, it will not be forgotten or lost. Second, exhorting practice by obtaining benefits, which has five [parts]: first, the excellence of seeing the objects; second, the excellence of eliminating sins; third, the excellence of oneself; fourth, the excellence of companions; fifth, the excellence of the fruitional retribution.
