3.260

「無量諸天及龍、夜叉，聞佛所說，皆大歡喜，禮佛而退。」照前列眾，文略龍天。阿難親聞，代傳佛語，故云聞佛說也。

"Immeasurable devas, along with nāgas and yakṣas, hearing what the Buddha said, all rejoiced greatly, bowed to the Buddha, and withdrew." In light of the earlier listing of the assembly, the text abbreviated the nāgas and devas. Since Ānanda heard it personally and transmitted the Buddha's words on his behalf, it is therefore said, "hearing what the Buddha said."
