"Thereupon he drew a sharp sword, intending to harm his mother." This is just as recounted above from the Nirvāṇa Sūtra. Second, the two ministers remonstrate and stop him, which has three parts: 1. performing the ritual of remonstrance; 2. delivering the remonstrating speech; 3. having remonstrated, wishing to depart.
