The sūtra says: "Moreover, Śāriputra, that buddha land always plays celestial music." Next, this explains the third: wonderful music resounding in the heavens. According to the *Contemplation Sūtra* and the like, immeasurable musical instruments are always suspended in the sky, sounding on their own without being struck. Moreover, in various places according to the objects, whether in houses or groves, musical instruments are hung everywhere, all chiming together spontaneously in accordance with the minds of the beings, all playing the sounds of the Dharma with none that is not the voice of Dharma; humans and devas who hear them all generate the intention for the Way.
