次明第二如來功德清淨正果。《無量壽論》曰：又分有二：初明如來功德莊嚴、次明菩薩功德莊嚴。就初文中，先問、次答、後釋外疑。

Next is to clarify the second topic, the Tathāgata's pure primary fruit of merit. The *Treatise on the Sūtra of Immeasurable Life* states that there are again two divisions: first, clarifying the Tathāgata's adornment of merit; next, clarifying the bodhisattvas' adornment of merit. Within the first text, there is first a question, next an answer, and thereafter the resolution of external doubts.
