答：「說《法華》而待請，恐生輕慢之情；談淨土以自宣，為顯慈悲之意。旨者旨趣，令捨穢土趣向淨方之旨也。」

Answer: "Speaking the Lotus Sūtra awaited a request for fear that feelings of slight and arrogance might arise; proclaiming the Pure Land on his own initiative was to manifest his compassionate intent. 'Tenet' means purport: the purport of causing beings to abandon the defiled land and proceed toward the pure realm."
