贊曰：下第六正釋本文。分二：初解題目、二釋經文，此初也。佛說者，即能化教主。阿彌陀者，唐言無量壽等也。經者，攝貫等四義也。以勝顯劣，依主釋也；或以別簡總，亦依主釋也，依人得名也。正釋經文者。

The praise says: Below is the sixth [section], properly explaining the primary text. It is divided into two: first, explaining the title; second, explaining the sūtra text. This is the first. 'The Buddha speaks' refers to the Lord of the Teaching who is able to transform [beings]. 'Amitābha' is in the language of the Tang 'Measureless Life' and so forth. 'Sūtra' has the four meanings of gathering, stringing together, and so forth. Displaying the inferior by means of the superior is a tatpuruṣa compound; or distinguishing the general by means of the particular is also a tatpuruṣa compound; it derives its name based on a person.
