贊曰：第二答壽命得名。壽命者，第八識上連持功德也，即是不相應行中攝也。無量者，無其限量。無邊者，無彼邊際。阿僧祇劫者，此云無央數劫也。

Praise: Second, answering the acquisition of the name from lifespan. 'Lifespan' is the continuous conditioning merit upon the eighth consciousness, which is subsumed under the non-concomitant formations. 'Immeasurable' means lacking limit. 'Boundless' means lacking boundaries. 'Asaṃkhyeya kalpas' is translated here as countless kalpas.
