答：「有二意：一、欲明化澤被淺深故，五逆十念亦生其國；二、顯莊嚴眷屬故、多眾圍繞故，雖是淨土亦有聲聞也。故《法華經》云：彼佛出時雖非惡世，以本願故亦說三乘。故《觀經》云：小乘根者生到彼土得四果也。」

Answer: 'There are two meanings: First, it intends to show that the transformative beneficence covers both shallow and deep, so that even those of the five inexpiable offenses with ten recitations are born in that land; second, to display the adornment of the retinue and show that he is surrounded by a vast assembly, so although it is a Pure Land, there are also śrāvakas. Hence the Lotus Sūtra says: When that Buddha appears, although it is not an evil world, on account of his original vow he also expounds the three vehicles. Hence the Contemplation Sūtra says: Those of śrāvaka faculties, upon being born in that land, attain the four fruits.'
