2.31

贊曰：第四玉砌成階。邊者周圍四圻邊也，階即砌，道者路也，上堦之道也。金、銀、瑠璃、玻𭹳已如上解。合成者，四寶共合成故。

The Commentary says: Fourth, jade masonry forming the steps. 'Sides' refers to the surrounding four banks. 'Steps' means masonry; 'walkways' means paths, the paths ascending the steps. Gold, silver, lapis lazuli, and crystal are explained as above. 'Composed of' means formed jointly of the four jewels.
