2.53

有云赤圓華者，不善其理也。《法華經》云：唯白蓮華、放白毫光、白牛馱駕、手執白拂等，表白是眾色之本，一乘是諸法之源，若云赤圓者，此為未可。

Those who claim they are 'red round flowers' do not properly understand the principle. The Lotus Sūtra speaks of 'only white lotus flowers', 'emitting white curled hair-light', 'drawn by white oxen', and 'holding white fly-whisks in hand', representing that white is the basis of all colors and that the One Vehicle is the source of all dharmas. If one says they are 'red and round', this is inadmissible.
