3.75

贊曰：自下第四三生發願。文分為四：第一、發心往生；第二、彰其勝益；第三、位居三世；第四、勸生彼國。此即初也。已發願者過去，今發願者現在，當發願者是未來。欲者希望也。生者即五蘊假者也。

The Praise states: From here on, the fourth [major section concerns] making the vow across the three periods of existence. The text is divided into four: first, generating the mind for rebirth; second, revealing its superior benefits; third, being positioned in the three times; fourth, exhorting rebirth in that land. This is the first part. 'Those who have already made the vow' refers to the past; 'those who are now making the vow' refers to the present; 'those who will make the vow' refers to the future. 'Desiring' means hoping. 'To be born' refers to the provisional person composed of the five aggregates.
