The Commentary says: Third is clarifying the assembly of devas who delight in the Dharma. In Sanskrit, *Śakro Devānām Indraḥ*. Śākya is a clan name, rendered here as "capable"; *deva* is "heaven" or "god"; *indra* is "sovereign." Calling him "Shitihuanyin" or "Tiandishi" are both corruptions and inversions. He abides on the summit of Mount Sumeru as the sovereign of the Thirty-Three Heavens. In the past his courtesy name was Kauśika, rendered here as "Cocoon Child," and his name was Magadha, rendered here as "Free from Malice," which is the place in Magadha where Indra cultivated causes in the past, taking the country's name as his own; his causes and conditions of cultivation are as in the *Commentary on the Samayabhedoparacanacakra*. "Including Indra and others" means the remaining multitudes of all the devas came together to the Jeta Grove. The above three differing assemblies completely conclude the fifth item: those who are the recipients of the teaching. The five distinct sections completely finish the introductory section. (Below is the main body of the sūtra).
