1.11

Now, the word 'Buddha' here refers to the transforming master Śākya, who is the ultimate person. If one understands in this way, not only does one recognize that the exalted state of fruition must be achieved through causes, but one also realizes that one's own wondrous mind originally possesses the nature of fruition. Thus, at the beginning, ordinary beings are endowed with the principle and advance without cowardice; at the end, sages abide in Buddhahood and arrogance does not arise.
