將釋此經，先以義門括其綱要，始可入文釋其義趣。初中，大覺世尊一代名教，大小雖殊不出教、理、行、果，因教顯理，依理起行，由行克果，四法收之鮮無不盡。

In intending to explain this sūtra, one must first encompass its essential outline through theoretical headings; only then may one enter into the text to explain its doctrinal import. First, the celebrated teachings of the Great Awakened World-Honoured One throughout his lifetime, though differing in great and small, do not go beyond teaching, principle, practice, and fruit. Relying on the teaching, the principle is revealed; based on the principle, practice is aroused; through practice, the fruit is attained. Subsumed by these four dharmas, virtually nothing is not fully exhausted.
