Third, in right mindfulness: at the end of life, an ordinary person's conscious spirit has no master, and seeds of good and evil karma all manifest without exception: either evil thoughts arise, or wrong views arise, or attachments arise, or frenzy erupts; the evil signs are not just one, and all are called invertedness. Because of the prior recitation of the Buddha, sins are eliminated and hindrances removed, pure karma perfuming within and compassionate light embracing from without, shedding suffering and obtaining bliss in a single kṣaṇa. The text below urges rebirth, and its benefit lies right here.
