初、序分，二：初、通序；二、別序。初中二：初、標法會時處；二、引大眾同聞。今初。

First, the preface, in two parts: first, the general preface; second, the particular preface. In the first part there are two: first, indicating the time and place of the Dharma assembly; second, citing the great assembly who heard it together. First is the former.
