問：「臨終佛現，寧保非魔？」答：「修心之人不作佛觀而佛忽現，非本所期，故名魔事；念佛見佛已是相應，況在臨終非致魔時，何須疑慮！」

Question: "When the Buddha appears at the end of life, how can one be sure it is not Māra?" Answer: "When a practitioner of the mind does not practice visualization of the Buddha and a buddha suddenly appears, it was not originally expected and is therefore called a work of Māra. When practicing buddhānusmṛti, seeing the Buddha is already in accord [with practice]; furthermore, at the end of life it is not a time when Māra is invited, so what need is there for doubt or hesitation?"
