10.147

案智秀曰：此第二引證。有兩章，前引證、後領解也。明駿案：此下引證，有七段：一證弘法比丘，必須強力者為護也；二證世有惡人，必能遮遏弘通之道也；三舉在家護法之至也；四顯弘讚二人之果報也；五會古今；六迦葉領解；七佛述勸也。此即第一，出通法比丘之緣起也。

Zhixiu comments: This is the second, adducing evidence. It has two chapters: first, adducing evidence; second, expressing comprehension. Mingjun comments: The citation of evidence below has seven sections: 1. proving that monks who propagate the Dharma must have powerful individuals to protect them; 2. proving that the world has evil people who will certainly obstruct the path of broad dissemination; 3. presenting the utmost degree of lay protection of the Dharma; 4. revealing the retribution of the two individuals who propagate and praise; 5. connecting the past and the present; 6. Kāśyapa expressing comprehension; 7. the Buddha confirming and encouraging. This is the first, setting forth the circumstances of the monk who propagates the Dharma.
