案僧宗曰：先答後問也。末世惡人壞亂法者，為治此人，故應須與持仗者俱。此乃大士之行，非謂破戒者也。智秀曰：正舉非以顯是也。

Sengzong comments: First answering the latter question. When evil people in the final age destroy and disrupt the Dharma, in order to discipline these people, one must indeed be together with those bearing weapons. This is the practice of a great being, not what is called breaking the precepts. Zhixiu says: Directly presenting the incorrect to reveal the correct.
