案僧亮曰：釋清淨也。有知則有所不知，有形則有所不形，可動可搖，豈曰淨也。僧宗曰：法身凝寂，孰能動耶？
Sengliang comments: This explains purity. If there is knowledge, there is that which is not known; if there is form, there is that which is not formed; being subject to agitation and motion, how could it be called pure? Sengzong says: The dharmakāya is still and serene; who could move it?
