10.31

案僧亮曰：釋非有為也。有為則是業，是果、是行、是滅，由心數而起，非之故無也。僧宗曰：離有餘果，故非業非果。離無餘果，故非行非滅也。非心心數，離四陰也。

Sengliang comments: This explains 'not saṃskṛta'. What is saṃskṛta is karma, fruit, activity, and cessation, arising from mind and mental factors; because it negates these, they are absent. Sengzong says: Free from the residue of fruition, it is neither karma nor fruit. Free from the fruit without residue, it is neither activity nor cessation. Being neither mind nor mental factors, it is free from the four aggregates.
