案僧亮曰：雖不分別，而無事不知也。僧宗曰：上既言無識，謂同木石。拂此疑故，亦不離心也。
Sengliang comments: Although it does not discriminate, there is no matter it does not know. Sengzong says: Having previously said it is without consciousness, one might think it is identical to wood and stone. To dispel this doubt, it says 'yet not apart from mind'.
