案僧亮曰：無性無相，故是空也。離無常無我，故離空也。僧宗曰：空無生死，即離空也。
Sengliang states: Because it has no nature and no characteristics, it is empty. Because it is free from impermanence and non-self, it is free from emptiness. Sengzong states: Being empty of saṃsāra, it is thereby free from emptiness.
